Time flies when you’re having fun.
I haven’t posted in a week, and I blame it on my husband.
Now that he is home, we have been running around town, watching movies together, and not even thinking about the computer!
But, I have finished a crochet project, and I am close to completing 2 more, are you proud? I guess watching movies and eating popcorn also puts me in the mood to complete projects that have been sitting idle.
So I present my first ever felted project!! I made a purse/bag. I got the idea from Purplegreen, and she got the pattern from here. The pattern does not call for felting, but I liked what she did and so I had to try one out for myself. Thanks, Purplegreen for the great inspiration.
I worked this one up in Panda Woolbale for the lighter colors and Patons Classic Wool Merino for the dark purple. I got the Panda yarn for $1.99 a skein, and it only took one skein of each color!
This project was easier to do that I had imagined. I felted the finished piece in my washing machine. I had to add some more hot water from my tea kettle because my water didn’t get hot enough, but after that it looked great and I set it on my deep freeze to dry. The pictures are of my oldest daughter modeling. They aren’t the greatest pics, the weather and light has been weird lately. But, it gives you an idea. I will try to get better pics of my next purse I make. I plan to make a couple more of these as they will make great gifts.
Well, I think I should go join someone for a movie now . . .

IIt’s really neat to see how someone else’s version came out! LOVE the colours!
That is really cool Adele!
I wish I knew how to do stuff like that…except I would make diaper covers. HAHA. But I guess you’re out of that phase with your two. ;)
